What is Domestic Violence?
The Families Without Fear Project defines domestic violence as actual and threatened abuse against any person within an intimate relationship, regardless of gender or sexuality. It may be physical, verbal, sexual, emotional, psychological or financial in nature, and it may involve relationships with both current and ex-partners.

The Women's Service
Survivors of Abuse Programme
We offer therapeutic support either face-to-face, by telephone or through group support work.
So, if you are trying to decide what to do and need help in making the right decision for you and your family, we are here to help you.
We will offer you the opportunity to:
- Look at your situation
- Explore your feelings about what is happening to you and your family
- Be given support to develop safe ways to regain control of your life
- Be referred to other agencies, if appropriate
Confidentiality
Your safety is our priority.
We will not share information with your partner or ex-partner. If he/she is on the Perpetrator's Programme, they will not be told if you make contact
with us or how you wish to make use of the support services.
