The SAP Programme is provided for men who are subject to intimate partner abuse or violence. This service offers you the opportunity to:
Men The Men's Service

A Specialist Service for men who are violent and abusive to a partner or who are experiencing violence in an intimate relationship.

If so, we offer a specialist service, Preventing Violence and Abuse in Relationships (PVAR) that may be able to help you. PVAR is designed for men who want to be helped to understand and stop being violent and abusive in intimate relationships.

Programme Structure

Once you have contacted us by phone, email or letter, you will be offered an appointment to begin the process of assessment.  The purpose to assess your current needs and to evaluate if the programme we provide is sufficient and appropriate for you.

menOne-to-one Specialist Individual Support

If the assessment process indicates that the programme is suitable to your needs, you will be eligible for a brief programme (6-8 sessions) of individual support.
Keys Group Work

After the individual work the next stage in your progress towards change takes place in a group with other men. This runs for 30 weeks. The group is run by two skilled facilitators.

In the group you will continue to work on the issues which have been identified in the one-to-one sessions.

After you have completed the 30-week group you will have a further opportunity to assess your progress and to explore the best ways to meet your needs.
